Biography

The path from a scientist to a leader of the agricultural sector

Alex Lissitsa was born in a small village in the north of the Chernihiv region, where his childhood was spent among potatoes, cows, pigs, and fearless birds. Although he didn’t initially dream of an agricultural career — planning instead to study political economy — fate had other plans, and he ended up at the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy.

After studying in Berlin, where Alex wrote a dissertation on Ukrainian agricultural enterprises, he returned to Ukraine with a passion for change. This led to the creation of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB), which became a platform for new projects and innovations in agriculture.

Later, Alex spent 12 years leading the Industrial Milk Company, and in 2024, he passed the leadership to a young team, remaining Chairman of the Board and embracing new exciting challenges. His love for change follows him every step of the way!

As a successful agrarian entrepreneur and political insider, Lissitsa provides a rare look behind the scenes in the political and economic life of Ukraine.
